Phase I & II Assesments

Complicated Environmental Regulations regarding storage, packaging, labeling, transportation and disposal of various wastes can be frustrating and time consuming. The EPA's Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) specifies technical standards which are to be used to identify hazardous wastes.  Once a waste has been characterized as ‘hazardous’, the generator is required to meet all handling and disposal regulations stipulated in Title 40 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) part 262 (Standards applicable to generators of hazardous waste).  For many businesses, trying to remain in compliance with federal, state, and local laws regulating waste management often can be overwhelming.  Failure to abide by these regulations can result in costly fines, regulatory enforcement, or permit revocation.  Streamline has assisted clients in obtaining compliance with hazardous waste regulations, while simultaneously reducing costs related to the use of hazardous materials and generation of hazardous waste by employing waste reduction programs.

Detailed record keeping is another facet of waste management that is just as important as the physical handling of the waste itself.  EPA's Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA) instilled the concept that a hazardous waste generator has ‘cradle to grave’ responsibility of their wastes.  Essentially, a generator is still responsible for their hazardous waste even after it has been transferred to a federally licensed Treatment, Storage and Disposal facility (TSDF).  For this reason, it is essential that generators maintain all waste disposal manifests and related records in an organized and retrievable system.  Streamline can develop and maintain extensive file management systems that will increase user efficiency and secure our clients' documentation.
